The Man Behind the Site
About The BizzL
A carpenter. A veteran of the trades. And the guy who decided it was time to pass it on.
Where It Starts
Years ago, a coworker hollered across a job site — "Hey BizzL!" — and the name just stuck. That's how it goes in the trades. You earn a name, you earn a reputation, and then you spend the rest of your career living up to both.
I've spent several decades in carpentry and the building trades. I've worked in the heat, the cold, on scaffolding too high for comfort, and in crawl spaces too tight to breathe. I've built luxury resorts in Las Vegas, worked alongside some of the best craftsmen in the country, and I've watched too many good workers flame out — not because they lacked talent, but because nobody told them what they needed to know.
That's where this site comes in.
I'm a carpenter by trade, but Survival in the Building Trades isn't just for carpenters. Whether you swing a hammer, pull wire, run pipe, or run heavy equipment — the fundamentals of surviving and thriving in this industry are the same. Show up. Do the work. Don't be stupid about safety. Keep learning.
I've seen workers come and go for decades. The ones who make it aren't always the most talented. They're the ones who figured out the rules — written and unwritten — and played the long game. I'm here to help you do the same.

The Three Rules
Everything I Know Comes Down to This
Sounds simple. Most people can't do all three consistently. If you can, you'll work forever.
A Few Places I've Built
The Resume Is in the Skyline
These aren't just job sites. They're proof that decades of hard work add up to something you can point at and say — I built that.
